Serums are skincare products that contain high concentrations of specific active ingredients to the skin. Serums are typically more watery than moisturizers and are applied to the skin before moisturizers. Because serums target specific skincare concerns from hydrating to skin brightening, they may contain any number of active ingredients but some common ingredients in serums are hyaluronic acid, retinol, L-ascorbic acid, glycolic acid, vitamins A, C and/or E, azelaic acid, ferulic acid, peptides etc.
